21 original programs commissioned by NETFLIX since 2016 in Africa

At a press conference in Johannesburg, NETFLIX presented the findings of its 44-page report reviewing its activities in AFRICA since its launch on the continent in 2016.

In Nigeria, NETFLIX has invested $23.6 million to license 283 titles and commission three original programs. In Kenya, two original programs have been commissioned.

In this report, NETFLIX details all the benefits it brings to the countries where it operates:

  • A decisive role in the international exposure of African filmmakers and their stories.
