14 documentary projects presented at the "Impala 2024" co-production meetings

The "Impala 2024" co-production meetings took place from Thursday, February 29 to Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the Capitol Hotel in Abidjan Cocody.

Organized by Africadoc Côte d’Ivoire, the Association des Réalisateurs Documentaristes du Cameroun (ARDC), Les Ateliers Varan, and Docmonde, under the patronage of Françoise Remarck, Ivorian Minister of Culture and Francophonie, the Rencontres Impala 2024 provided an opportunity to present 14 documentary projects from 11 African countries to an audience of professionals: broadcasters, producers, support funds, etc.

For Laurent Bitty, president of Africadoc Côte d'Ivoire and organizer of Impala 2024, the co-production meetings dedicated to French-speaking African documentary cinema aim to boost co-production between actors on the continent and constitute the final phase of the Impala project launched in 2022. Over three years, Impala has provided training in documentary filmmaking to directors and producers from West and Central Africa, culminating in the presentation of the 14 best projects at the 2024 meetings.

The event is supported by numerous partners, including support funds, public bodies, broadcasters, etc.
