A new series produced entirely in Ivory Coast has just begun airing on Life TV: Biama City.
This six-episode series features DOUMBIA, who, at almost 60 years old, is tired of being the President of the Youth of Biama City, in Marcory. But on the day he decides to give up this thankless job, the Ivorian government announces that from now on, a budget of 20,000,000 CFA francs will be allocated to each "democratically elected" youth president for the duration of their term of office.
The title and atmosphere are directly inspired by the cultural phenomenon of "Biama," a dance and movement born in Yopougon that celebrates joie de vivre, unapologetic immaturity, and partying. The series captures this "nouchi" and urban energy and transposes it into a television drama.
The series airs Monday through Friday at 8:30 p.m. starting February 2, 2026, on Life TV.
Available 48 hours in advance on Orange CI TV and Max it TV.
