M6 enters the Ivory Coast market with LIFE TV

The M6 Group announced today that it will participate in the creation of the Life TV channel in Côte d'Ivoire, through a 33% stake in the capital of the Ivorian company of the same name. The latter operates the Life TV digital terrestrial television channel, which will be launched in 2018 as part of the liberalization of the TV market in Côte d'Ivoire.

Life TV is a general-interest channel aimed at all viewers, offering a diverse range of programming (entertainment, news, movies, talk shows, etc.) featuring local content, mostly produced in-house thanks to the creation of the largest production studio in Côte d'Ivoire, covering an area of 1,000 square meters, as well as programs from the M6 Group's catalogs.

In this project, M6 has joined forces with Fabrice Sawegnon, CEO of Voodoo Group, the country's leading communications group, who brings his expertise in the French-speaking African advertising market, while M6 contributes its know-how in developing free-to-air television channels. Vincent Broussard, who has managed several television channels in France, including téva, TF6, and serieclub, is the CEO of the new channel.

By joining forces with Fabrice Sawegnon, founder of Voodoo Group, through this acquisition, the Group is entering Africa, specifically the Ivorian market, which offers strong growth potential, and confirming its position as a major player in French-language television. This agreement is in line with the M6 Group's proactive policy of risk-taking and innovation since its creation.
