The 26th edition of the Pan-African Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou will be held from February 23 to March 2.
This year, FESPACO will celebrate its 50th anniversary with the central theme "Memory and Future of African Cinema." This will be an opportunity to present a special selection dedicated to iconic films from the last 50 years, a retrospective of Yennenga's Etalon d'Or films, and a perspective on African cinema and its importance in the transformation of the continent.
Twenty films from 16 different countries will compete for the Grand Prize at the Pan-African Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou (Fespaco). Three Burkinabe films will be in the running for the official Yennenga Golden Stallion competition: "DESRANCES" by Apolline Traoré, "DUGA" by Abdoulaye Dao and Hervé Éric Lenganni, and "HAKILITAN" by Issaka Konaté.
The official selection can be found here.
