TRACE: new content sales contracts in Africa

At the end of the 69th Berlinale on February 17, TRACE announced the signing of new sales contracts in Africa, confirming its ambition to support African filmmaking through the group's content distribution division, Trace Content Distribution.

These new sales confirm buyers' interest in Afro-urban entertainment.

TRACE has signed a pre-purchase agreement with TV5MONDE for the broadcast of seasons 3 and 4 of GABÂO (52 x 4'), a Gabonese edutainment animated series, on TV5MONDE channels and the youth channel TIVI5.

The British drama series BROTHERS WITH NO GAME, whose season 3 was co-produced with TRACE Studios, will soon be available in French for CANAL+ subscribers in Africa.

TRACE has also signed a sales agreement with SHOWMAX, the South African video-on-demand platform.

Subscribers will be able to discover Nigerian series co-produced by TRACE Studios – CRAZY LOVELY COOL and WIVES ON STRIKE, established talents (FROM A WHISPER, Wanuri Kahiu's first film), APPLE FOR 2, a Cameroonian series, and KINGMAKERS, the political thriller by Afro-British director Nicholas Beveney.
