TNT in Burkina Faso: SBT sets annual license fee

On September 17, the Société burkinabè de télédiffusion (SBT), the public operator in charge of DTT in Burkina Faso, held a meeting attended by the Prime Minister to discuss the progress of the work and the adoption of DTT broadcasting costs.

The participants decided to distinguish between the national offering (national coverage) and the regional offering. For the national offering, the annual license fee was set at seventy-five million (75,000,000) CFA francs. The amount set for the regional option will be announced shortly.

Following a meeting of the DTT transition steering committee on April 8, SBT announced that the analog signal would be completely switched off and the transition to DTT would take place on November 1, 2019.
