2019 African Women Journalist Award

APO Group, a pan-African communications consulting firm, has announced the composition of the jury for the 2019 APO Group African Woman Journalist Award. This award recognizes, celebrates, and encourages African women journalists who support female entrepreneurship in Africa.

The jury will be responsible for selecting the winner, whose name will be announced at the African Women's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) held on October 29 and 30 in Cape Town, South Africa.

The members of the jury are as follows:

  • Aïda Diarra, Senior Vice President for Sub-Saharan Africa at Visa
  • Rukmini Glanard, Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing at Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise
  • Ms. Bola Adesola, Senior Vice President of Standard Chartered Bank Group
  • Lee Martin, Senior Vice President of Global Strategic Development at Getty Images
  • Nicolas Pompigne-Mognard, Founder and President of APO Group

The APO Group African Journalist Award is open to African journalists whose articles were published between January 1 and September 15, 2019. Articles will be judged on their content, writing, analysis, creativity, human interest, and impact on the community.
