At a press conference held on October 11 at CanalOlympia in Cotonou, the CANAL+ group announced the launch of ten new African and international television channels.
Since October 15, CANAL+ has been offering more African content through ten new television channels included in its package. Among the new additions are CANAL+ Elles, a channel dedicated to women, a new youth channel called Ludikids, and NCI, one of the private channels on Ivorian digital terrestrial television.
For Africa, CANAL+ is also adding M6 International to its TV packages. A few months after acquiring Lagardère's TV division, M6 signed an agreement with CANAL+ to broadcast the channel in French-speaking Africa. This new initiative illustrates the group's desire to win over an African audience.
Here are the new channels:
Trace Afrikora

The new music channel dedicated to urban and popular Mandinka music… Viewers will be able to enjoy the best music videos as well as artist interviews, concerts, and documentaries.
M6 International
– Available with the EVASION package
The new channel brings together the best of the M6 Group's programming. With shows from M6, W9, 6ter, Paris Première, and Téva, M6 International will offer varied, high-quality content.
Ludikids
– Available with the EVASION package
The new educational channel supports children's early learning. On Ludikids, children will have fun learning English, literacy, math and arithmetic, science and, more generally, about the world around them.
Automoto
– From the EVASION package
The channel dedicated to motorsports, with programming based on both practical discovery magazines and event broadcasts.
RTNB
