France 24 has signed a distribution agreement with Rwandan public television (RBA) for the free-to-air broadcast of its French and English channels on digital terrestrial television (DTT).
Effective since December 12, France 24's broadcast on DTT in Rwanda allows 500,000 households that are equipped or in the process of being equipped to access the global 24-hour news channel's programs on channels 114 (for French) and 115 (for English).
France 24 is the only international channel available in the RBA DTT package, which includes seven Rwandan channels (RBA, Flash TV, Isango TV, BTH Rwanda, Contact TV, TV1, KC2, TV7) that broadcast mainly in Kinyarwanda.
