After postponing the event due to the global pandemic, the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) has announced the new dates for the West Africa Media Excellence Conference (WAMECA), which will take place on November 13 and 14, 2020, in Accra.
Media experts, activists, editors, and journalists from West Africa will meet remotely to discuss "The Future of Journalism in Africa," a crucial topic for the media landscape in these uncertain times.
The event will also be an opportunity to reward West African journalists who have had a positive impact on people's lives in order to encourage media professionalism and contribute to its strengthening.
The call for applications was officially launched today and candidates have until September 30 to apply.
