After announcing that it held 6.5% of MultiChoice's capital on September 29, the CANAL+ group announced today that it has exceeded the 10% threshold.
The group now holds 12% of the capital of the pay-TV operator, which is the leader in sub-Saharan Africa.
According to the CANAL+ group, "this acquisition demonstrates the confidence of Groupe Canal+ and its shareholder Vivendi in the prospects for MultiChoice and the African continent, to which they are very attached."
