Africa Check, a pioneering fact-checking organization on the African continent, officially launches its first podcast, "Le faux dans l'info" (Fake News), today.
Operating on a pan-African scale, the Africa Check website has been promoting accuracy and honesty in public debate and the media in Africa since 2012. The organization has four official offices in Nairobi, Johannesburg, Lagos, and Dakar.
In Senegal, the office covers French-speaking Africa and has been led by its editor-in-chief Assane Diagne since 2015.
To support the development of fact-checking, Africa Check is launching a podcast format to analyze one of their articles each month (on the second Monday of the month) in the presence of its author and an expert on the subject, in order to raise awareness of the issues surrounding misinformation.
Episode 1 is available via WhatsApp and on Soundcloud, well known in the podcast world.
