IPTV instability in Cameroon and Senegal in April and May 2021

TV advertising data published by Omedia for April and May show the extreme instability of this market, which, although it has remained stable overall since the beginning of the year, is subject to significant month-to-month fluctuations compared to 2020, which was marked by the first months of the health crisis.

With +13% in April 2021 vs. April 2020, IPTV in Cameroon seemed to be resuming the growth observed in January and February, but in May the market lost 25% as it had done in March.

For the first five months of 2021, gross TV advertising investment rose slightly (+5%)

The same situation can be seen in Senegal, where April saw very strong growth (+67%) and May saw a slight decline (-15%).
