Women In Africa: Five women named Young Leaders

The Women In Africa (WIA) initiative has revealed the members of the first cohort of the WIA Young Leaders program.

Developed in partnership with Maison Dior, global leader in new information and communication technologies Huawei, and investment bank Lazard, the Young Leaders program aims to support and promote the leadership potential of young African women.

The program's top winners are:

  • Méganne Lorraine Boho Ceday, Customer Relations and Media Manager at African Media Agency
  • Néné Maïga, Chief of Staff to the CEO of Orange Middle East and Africa and President of the Ivorian League for Women's Rights.
  • Dr. Nassifatou Koko Tittikpina, Head of Restructuring at the National Laboratory for Drug Quality Control;
  • Nyama Marvel Gusona, International Consultant for Youth Empowerment at UNICEF
  • Cynthia Adediran Aïssy, CEO of KeyOpsTech and Fruitizz CI

These five winners were identified from among more than 2,000 applicants and selected after individual interviews with a jury of 15 international figures.

Together, they were selected for their impressive and promising backgrounds, their exemplary leadership skills, their professional and life plans, and their commitment to Africa.

They all share the same values and vision of an innovative and inclusive Africa, where the business world is closely linked to social impact. They aspire to become decision-makers at the highest levels of companies and public organizations, with the humility, empathy, and resilience that characterize them. Their strength of conviction, combined with a taste for teamwork, makes them the next great leaders of the pan-African landscape.

WIA and its partners Dior, Huawei, and Lazard are committed to supporting the winners in achieving their ambitious goals. Personalized follow-up will be put in place to identify the individual needs of the Young Leaders and respond precisely to the development of each of their skills.

The in-person part of the program will take place in Paris. During their stay in France, the Young Leaders will have the opportunity to make numerous contacts, which are essential for developing their network. They will also have the exclusive opportunity to visit the offices of Huawei and the brand-new headquarters of the investment bank Lazard Paris. Finally, a virtual event will be organized upon their return from this trip to allow WIA's very first class of Young Leaders to share their experiences.

Thanks to this program, the five Young Leaders will have the opportunity to develop their skills, network, discover new organizations, and meet leading figures from the worlds of business, politics, and media.
