CANAL+ has renewed its long-standing partnership with the UEFA Champions League for three more seasons.
This means that UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup matches will continue to be broadcast in French on CANAL+ for subscribers in sub-Saharan Africa, exclusively until 2024.
To mark the occasion, CANAL+SPORT channels will benefit from exceptional coverage, broadcasting the 10 best matches per day during the group stages and providing specific editorial content to cover the competition as closely as possible.
Since September 14, CANAL+SPORT channels have been offering:
- A multiplex on CANAL+SPORT 2, allowing viewers to follow six matches simultaneously and see the best action from each match without missing a single goal!
- 10 live matches per day on CANAL+SPORT 3, CANAL+SPORT 4, and CANAL+SPORT 5
- The "CANAL CHAMPIONS CLUB," the new show hosted by Hervé Mathoux with Laure Boulleau, surrounded by CANAL+ consultants such as Habib Beye and Eric Abidal
- The "CANAL CHAMPIONS DEBRIEF" with a review of the highlights of the day's matches, analyzed and interpreted by the CANAL CHAMPIONS CLUB team
It should be noted that this contract renewal is accompanied by the return of the UEFA Youth League to CANAL+ SPORT channels.
It should be remembered that the CANAL+ group has an unrivalled offering in French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa, as it is the sole broadcaster of the five major European football leagues (LIGUE 1, Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A, and Bundesliga) and the major competitions of the Confederation of African Football, including the Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place from January 9 to February 6 in Cameroon.
