France Médias Monde and the CANAL+ Group extend their distribution agreement in Africa and the Indian Ocean

France Médias Monde (RFI, France 24, and Monte Carlo Doualiya) and the CANAL+ Group have renewed their distribution agreement, extending their long-standing partnership and enriching CANAL+'s offerings in Africa and the Indian Ocean.

This new agreement allows France 24 and RFI to continue broadcasting as part of CANAL+'s offering to its six million subscribers in sub-Saharan Africa and to broadcast RFI programs in African languages (Mandenkan, Fulfulde, Hausa, and Swahili) unencrypted via the SES 4 satellite.

France 24 in French is also available on EASYTV, CANAL+'s pay-TV DTT offering in the DRC, Congo Brazzaville, Côte d'Ivoire, and Guinea, as well as in the new version of the "myCANAL" app in Africa, launched in June 2021, which allows users to access live streaming of the global 24-hour news channel and a vast catalog of on-demand programs.

Finally, France 24's French and English channels are also included in the new CANAL+ Ethiopia package launched in April 2021.
