On Tuesday, November 2, the CANAL+ Group officially launched MABOKE TV, the first channel dedicated entirely to fiction in Lingala.
MABOKE TV is produced by the CANAL+ Group in sub-Saharan Africa and offers a selection of the best Maboke series with two daily shows from Monday to Friday.
At launch, for example, LA CLEF with Roch Bodo, FAMILLE AVEC BELLE VUE, RIVALITE PARFAITE with Dinana La Douce and many others will be broadcast. Congolese cinema will also be featured every weekend, combining cult and recent films such as WANTED, BONDOKI and LA VIE EST BELLE.
MABOKE TV will also offer Kelbul Mag, an offbeat take on Congolese news in Lingala, as well as the best of Congolese music with compilations of music videos from all genres.
The channel aims to highlight Congolese audiovisual production and its talents, whether they be producers, directors, actors, or artists.
CANAL+ will also contribute to the training and capacity building of those involved in the audiovisual sector in the DRC in order to further professionalize the way content is produced.
MABOKE TV will be available exclusively on CANAL+ from the first ACCESS subscription package in French-speaking Africa, channels 39 and 352, and on the EASY TV package in Kinshasa, Lubumbashi, and Matadi, on myCANAL, and on the African package.
