Following LE BONNET DE MODIBO, Burkinabe director Boubacar Diallo has released a new comedy entitled LES TROIS LASCARS, which recently won the ECOWAS Special Prize at the 27th edition of Fespaco.
From November 5, the film will be available in all CanalOlympia theaters, Majestic and IF cinemas in Abidjan, IF in Libreville, Ousmane Sembene in Dakar, Eden in Douala, and Magic Cinema in Bamako.
Co-written with Axel Guyot, LES TROIS LASCARS features three friends who, under pressure from their mistress, their "Tchiza," organize an extramarital trip outside Ouagadougou. A mission to Abidjan is the perfect alibi for their wives…
But what a nightmare when they learn that the plane they were supposed to take has crashed!
A true comedy of manners, LES TROIS LASCARS has all the ingredients of a hit movie: a story that aims to be popular, a social issue around the "second office" treated with a lot of humor, all carried by a renowned Burkinabe and Ivorian cast.
The three lads in the film are played by Issaka Sawadogo, Dieudonné Yoda, and Mahoula Kane, alongside the "tchiza" represented by Irène Minoungou, Eve Guehi, Zena Alisar Khalil, and the wives Mouna N'Diaye, Kadhy Touré, and Mariam Aida Niatta.
"After four weeks of filming and three months of post-production, the release of LES TROIS LASCARS is the result of a team effort bringing together many African talents. Above all, we wanted to make a film for and by Africans that evokes their daily lives, their hopes, and their dreams," says co-writer and director Boubakar Diallo.
