TRACE STUDIOS is a new entity created from the merger between OKUHLE MEDIA STUDIOS, recently acquired by TRACE, and TRACE's activities in the production and distribution of premium content. TRACE STUDIO now has a rich catalog of nearly 6,000 hours of programs of all kinds (series, films, documentaries, programs, edutainment, clips, etc.).
Sivan PILLAY has over 25 years of experience in the music and television industry.
After gaining initial experience in sales at EMI Music South Africa, he became International Promotions Manager
and then joined Endemol South Africa in 2000, first in the Sponsorships and Licensing division, then in 2004 as Head of Commercial and Digital Business
, and finally as Managing Director
in 2008.
After the merger of ENDEMOL and SHINE, he was appointed CEO of Endemol Shine Africa.
At Endemol, he developed a number of popular and successful formats for Africa, such as Big Brother Africa, Isidingo, Survivor South Africa, Fear Factor, Project Fame West and East Africa, All You Need Is Love, and Deal or No Deal. He was also Executive Producer of more than 125 TV programs in Africa during this period.
After leaving ENDEMOL, Sivan PILLAY created 360 Degrees South and Zero Gravity TV and Media. He has now joined TRACE STUDIOS with the aim of making TRACE STUDIOS a major player in the creation, production, and distribution of TV and film content in Africa and around the world.
