IPTV November 2021: a record month in Senegal thanks to food brands

November 2021 alone generated 2,152,000,000 CFA francs in gross advertising revenue in Senegal for the television channels studied by the Omedia institute. This represents an increase of +142% compared to the same period in 2020 and, more importantly, it is the first time that IPTV has exceeded 2 billion CFA francs in Senegal.

Orange Telecom remains the leading advertiser in Senegal, but in November it was followed by the Mon Choco brand (FKS Foods), which launched a large-scale campaign with a teaser phase consisting of several 3- to 6-second spots followed by a 45-second spot for the launch of its spread made in Senegal.

In Senegal, food is the leading sector on TV, ahead of telecoms and health and beauty.

As such, four food brands feature in the top 10 for November

SENICO (Sénégalaise Industrie Commerce) ranks DELIA, which also sells a spread, in third place, just behind MON CHOCO, while KADI culinary aids occupy fifth place.

Finally, Chef Aida (oils, mustard, mayonnaise, etc.) ranks sixth
