TV advertising investments, which had rebounded strongly at the end of 2021 after a more turbulent period, continued to grow during the first quarter of 2022.
According to the Omedia institute, which tracks TV advertising investment in several African countries, IPTV increased by +76% in the first quarter of 2021, with a +125% increase in January, +73% in February, and +18% in March.
This growth is driven by a wide variety of advertisers. With the exception of 1Xbet, no advertiser was present in the TOP 10 consecutively during the first three months of the year. A total of 19 different advertisers share the 30 places making up the three monthly TOP 10s, and seven advertisers are present in two out of three months: BAZAR MOTOR.
