The ÔBATANGA series wins an award at the Luchon Festival

Selected for the 2023 Luchon TV Festival, ÔBATANGA wins the award for best foreign drama.

This is a wonderful international recognition for this thriller series from CANAL+ Original, directed and produced by Alex Ogou, who is already responsible for the previous successes of INVISIBLES and CACAO.

With a thrilling plot and a cast of African stars, ÔBATANGA is also the first series written by Henri Melingui, a young Cameroonian with a passion for cinema. ÔBATANGA is a crime series set in the upper echelons of society in an imaginary country, a thriller that takes place in a procedural universe where extraordinary events turn the lives of the protagonists upside down. The cast includes Arthur Longville, Roger Sallah, Evelyne Ily, Sidiki Bakaba, Tola Koukoui, Mouna N'Diaye, Bambadjan Bamba, and Andréa Kakou (Miss Côte d'Ivoire 2015).

ÔBATANGA is currently broadcast on CANAL+PREMIERE in Africa and is available on the My Bouquet Africain app in Europe.

The series has also been selected for FESPACO 2023 in the "Series" category, which will be held from February 25 to March 4, 2023, in Ouagadougou.
