The CAF Executive Committee has announced the date of the draw for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations. This is a crucial step in the run-up to this major football competition, which will take place this year in Côte d'Ivoire, where preparations appear to be well underway. The country has been chosen to host the event for the second time in its history, following the 1984 edition, which saw Cameroon emerge victorious.
It should be noted that CAF had also launched a new call for tenders for the allocation of broadcasting rights for several sporting competitions to be held in 2023, 2024, and 2025. Broadcasters had until May 25, 2023, to express their interest to CAF. The tender concerns the broadcasting rights for 10 competitions, including the upcoming TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Côte d'Ivoire 2023.
