Alex Ogou's series "Niabla" selected for the La Rochelle TV Fiction Festival

After winning the award for Best Foreign French-Language Fiction in 2018 at the La Rochelle TV Fiction Festival with "Invisibles," Alex Ogou is back in the running with his series project "Niabla," selected for the festival's 25th anniversary. The event will take place from September 12 to 17, 2023.

Well known for directing hit series such as "Cacao" and "Eki," Alex Ogou continues to stand out with fiction projects such as "Obatanga," which blends the worlds of business and politics in an imaginary country, and more recently "Niabla," a foray into the world of "Bizi ."

Since founding his production company, Plan A, in December 2020 in Abidjan, Alex Ogou has had a steady stream of projects, perfectly illustrating the dynamism of the audiovisual production sector. Indeed, the sector continues to grow in French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa, driven in particular by a new generation of talent and increasingly significant investments. There is real dynamism in fiction production, which is reflected in a proliferation of increasingly ambitious projects.
