"Back to school"—the new Youscribe campaign rolled out in five African countries

YouScribe, the largest French-language digital library with over a million subscribers, is supporting schoolchildren as they return to school with a unique promotional campaign. Implemented in partnership with Orange, the Back To School campaign will cover five African countries: Ivory Coast, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Morocco, and Guinea.

From September 1 to 30, 2023, the promotional offer will allow any student, from elementary school to high school, who subscribes to YouScribe for the first time to benefit from double the duration of their subscription free of charge. This offer will be available in five African countries (Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Morocco, and Guinea) and through various channels (website, SMS, social media) to ensure maximum accessibility for all reading enthusiasts.

This promotional campaign is also accompanied by the "Big Book Quiz," an exciting game for the start of the school year that will allow users to delve even deeper into the world of African literature. Users are invited to play by answering 15 carefully designed questions that explore the YouScribe catalog, enriched by partner authors and publishers. By promoting and working together with publishers in participating countries, this initiative aims to showcase contemporary local literature and raise the profile of authors from the continent. By answering the quiz correctly, participants will have the chance to win prizes such as phones, Orange recharge credit, YouScribe access to extend their reading experience, and movie tickets to continue enjoying culture in another format.

Juan Pirlot de Corbion, President of YouScribe, said: "YouScribe's commitment to facilitating access to reading remains unwavering, particularly at the start of the school year. We believe in the power of discovery, learning, and personal development through reading. That's why, with this special subscription offer, we want to support all schoolchildren as they prepare for the new school year by giving them the opportunity to immerse themselves in captivating literary worlds. We want every YouScribe user to feel our passion for words and knowledge, and for this new school year to be the beginning of an exceptional literary adventure."
