The Kinshasa International Film Festival has just announced the dates for its 2024 edition. It will be held at the Academy of Fine Arts and the French Institute in Kinshasa from July 21 to 28.
FICKIN celebrated its 10th edition in October 2023.
Kevin Mavakala, Director of the Kinshasa International Film Festival, explained the festival's raison d'être: "Because we love making and watching films, because we love living and being happy in our circumstances, we don't want to be spectators of our own history; instead, we want to use cinema to turn our daily lives into a source of strength that we can draw on."
