The eighth edition of VivaTech will take place from May 22 to 25 in PARIS and will host the third edition of the AfricaTech Awards.
This initiative aims to support startups that strive to have a positive impact on challenges related to climate change, access to healthcare, or the promotion of financial inclusion.
Through the AfricaTech Awards, VivaTech aims to create new opportunities for emerging startups in Africa by offering them a unique opportunity to meet with technology leaders, major investors, policy makers, and institutions.
Selection criteria for the AfricaTech Awards
Applicants must
- Operating in Africa: the majority of the team must be based in Africa and/or serve African markets.
- Having a solution or product aimed at the African market
- Have raised a minimum of $200,000 and a maximum of $20 million in capital
- Address one of the following topics: Climate Tech, E-commerce, FinTech, or Health Tech

- May 7: Official announcement of the TOP 9
- May 22-25: Awards ceremony: VivaTech Paris & AfricaTech Awards
