Registration is free and open to films produced between January 2022 and February 2024.
Films must be the work of a director from the African continent or its diaspora. In exceptional cases, films by non-African directors, shot and co-produced with Africa (in terms of the film crew), may be registered.
Created in 2014 to bring African films to life and showcase the artistic and cinematographic creations of Africa and its diaspora, the Africlap Film Festival runs for 10 days and screens around 45 films in cinemas, cultural centers, and universities in the city of Toulouse. Its rich program offers a selection of high-quality films and introduces audiences to works that are sometimes unreleased in France.
Each year, the festival awards several prizes and awards selected by a jury of professionals (filmmakers, journalists, film critics, academics, and visual artists) and a jury of students (film school students and students who are passionate about cinema and have taken a film criticism workshop).
