At the 29th Audiovisual Laurels ceremony held on February 26, the Ivorian TV series "Ici c Babi" received an award in the "French-language program from the South" category.
This ceremony rewards French audiovisual works (television, radio, and web) or French-language works broadcast during the current year, regardless of their format or mode of distribution. The award criteria are based on originality, creativity, quality of writing, cultural dimension, and contribution to civic spirit. This year, Côte d'Ivoire is in the spotlight thanks to the series "Ici c Babi."
Directed by Boris Oué, co-written by author Armand Gauz based on an original idea by Charly Kodjo, this series was conceived as 41 episodes of 13 minutes each, with the aim of depicting the "aestheticized" disorder of the city of Abidjan through chronicles of everyday life. It is produced by Instant2Vie Studio, founded by Charly Kodjo with the support of TV5MONDE.
