BEST CAN EVER: more than just a slogan, it's a quantified reality

The Confederation of African Football has published a series of statistics on the latest Africa Cup of Nations, which took place in Ivory Coast, showing that all previous records have been broken by a wide margin:

  • The number of videos viewed rose from 350 million in 2021 to 2.2 billion in 2023. 
  • The number of impressions across all platforms rose from 1.1 billion in 2021 to 2.1 billion in 2023.
  • Commercial revenue has increased by 26% in two years;
  •  Revenue from ticket sales increased by 800%. 
  • and the number of sponsors has increased by 65%, from 10 in 2021 to 16 in 2023, including traditional sponsors such as Total Energies, the competition's official title partner, 1XBET, Orange, Unilever (Rexona), Puma, Visa, and Ivorian companies such as LONACI, Air Côte d'Ivoire, Céleste, Porteo, and Smart Technology.
  • The competition final was broadcast in 171 countries worldwide, and 13 new markets broadcast the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, including Brazil, Russia, Italy, and India. 
  • 110 broadcasters, compared to 68 broadcasters in 2021, broadcast the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
