The African Public Relations Association (APRA) has announced the 35th edition of its annual conference, called APRA Côte d’Ivoire 2024.
Organized by the communications and public relations group The Holding Opinion & Public Limited (THOP), the event will take place from May 13 to 17, 2024, in Abidjan, with the central theme "One Africa, One Voice: Bridging the Communication Gap in Africa."
In a context marked by the proliferation of fake news and misinformation, the event aims to highlight the central role of public relations in unifying the African continent and amplifying Africa's voice on the international stage. Over five days of discussions, workshops, and networking, the event will also explore the potential of technology, digital platforms, and artificial intelligence.
For many public relations experts, the use of artificial intelligence can be a powerful tool for analyzing international and local media and extracting all the data needed to best advise their clients. This valuable data could help with decision-making and the definition of communication strategies for all professionals in the field, as well as for investors involved on the continent. The lack of data remains a real challenge for all economic players, particularly when it comes to French-speaking Africa.
It should be noted that the African Public Relations Association (APRA) is the continent's leading network for public relations and communications professionals. It is dedicated to promoting professionalism and ethical conduct in public relations practice across Africa.
