The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the launch of a tender process to select a global marketing agency that will be responsible for marketing the media, broadcasting, and sponsorship rights for CAF national team competitions, including its major events.
These events include the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations, the TotalEnergies CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations, and other competitions involving national teams.
The call for tenders ("ITT") will close on Friday, April 4, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Cairo time.
The selected agency will be appointed for the period 2026-2029 and will be tasked with supporting the creation and management of a new commercial entity, wholly owned by CAF, dedicated to managing broadcasting, media, sponsorship, and marketing rights for prestigious African national team competitions.
This strategic and innovative partnership aims to open up new opportunities, generate revenue streams, increase international visibility, and enhance the overall commercial value of CAF national team competitions.
The selected agency will work closely with CAF to establish a world-class structure for the sale and distribution of media rights, sponsorships, and marketing assets, thereby helping to ensure the long-term sustainability and growth of African football.
Through the sale of media rights and sponsorship contracts for its tournaments, CAF generates essential revenue to support and develop soccer across the continent.
