CANALBOX, ranked first in quality of experience (QoE) for fixed Internet in TOGO, ORANGE, ranked first in French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa.

ARCEP TOGO has just published the quality of experience (QoE) for fixed internet measured from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025, in Togo, in partnership with nPerf, the global leader in crowdsourcing.

nPerf is a French company based in Lyon that measures, evaluates, and improves understanding of Internet connectivity worldwide.

The indicator used to rank fixed Internet networks is the nPerf score, expressed in nPoints. It provides an overall picture of connection quality, taking into account measured speeds (2/3 download + 1/3 upload) and latency.
The nPerf score therefore represents the average user experience for each of the operators studied. It takes into account all the offers provided by the operator, regardless of their prices.

Results in TOGO:

For the second consecutive year, CANALBOX maintains its leading position in terms of fixed internet quality of experience with a score of 67,987 points, compared to 51,701 for YAS TOGO. Compared to the scores published last year, CANALBOX has further widened the gap with its competitor YAS TOGO.

CANALBOX excels in all five performance indicators measured.

Results in French-speaking Africa

According to nperf ratings, the TOP 5 in French-speaking Africa is as follows:

  1. ORANGE: 96,463 points in Ivory Coast
  2. ORANGE: 84,956 points in Burkina Faso
  3. CONGO TELECOM: 72,536 points in Congo
  4. ORANGE: 70,556 points in Senegal

Furthermore, ARCEP notes that the quality of experience of fixed fiber internet offered in Togo is paradoxically poorer than that of 4G mobile internet, even though fiber optics can offer much higher speeds. ARCEP welcomes the progress made but urges operators to raise their game to match the best performers in the region, in order to improve the experience of fixed fiber internet users in Togo.
