Pathé, the leading film production and cinema operator in Europe and Africa, announces a strategic partnership with Merit France, the holding company of the Saadé family, which already owns the RMC group (RMC and BFM).
With this investment, Merit France acquires a 20% stake in Pathé and continues its diversification into cultural and media activities.
The aim of this transaction is to give Pathé the means to accelerate its development, particularly in the production of films and series with an international focus, and in the modernization of its network of movie theaters to offer its customers a high-end, innovative experience unmatched in Europe.
Today, Pathé operates 130 cinemas with a total of 1,316 screens in France, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Tunisia, Senegal, Ivory Coast, and Morocco.
