According to a press release published on its website on December 13, NewWorld announced the launch of its television package (Direct To Home) in Mali.
This launch is intended to be the first milestone in the Togolese group's expansion strategy in West Africa.
The press release does not specify how or at what price this new offer will be available in Mali.
It should be noted that Newworld had asked CAF for a deadline extension to December 12 to pay the $34 million that had not yet been paid to CAF for the acquisition of competitions (including the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place in Morocco) for the period 2023 to 2025.
For the moment, there has been no communication regarding the resolution of this dispute from either CAF or Newworld.
