HACA selects KANTAR as the official audience measurement operator in Ivory Coast

After a rigorous selection process, the High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (HACA) has just announced in a press release that KANTAR has been chosen to measure audiovisual media audiences in Côte d'Ivoire. The operator received unanimous votes from DTT channel publishers, confirming its expertise and leadership in the field of market research.

A gradual implementation

The first audience measurement results will only be available in several weeks, once the following has been finalized:

  • Recruiting teams and setting up the operational structure.
  • Validation of key elements of the study.
  • The collection and processing of the first few weeks of data.

KANTAR, an experienced player in Africa

For more than 12 years, KANTAR has been conducting the Africascope study, which measures television and radio audiences and Internet usage in eight French-speaking African countries. Its experience and advanced methodological tools enable it to provide a unique and consensual audience measurement in Côte d'Ivoire, an ambitious project desired by the legislature.

A decision that coincides with a strategic turning point

This announcement comes as KANTAR sells its Kantar Media division to the investment fund H.I.G. Capital. This entity will focus exclusively on media measurement and analysis, thereby benefiting from enhanced development resources.
