EXCLUSIVE: Ivory Coast: initial results of the new media audience measurement system

ADWEKNOW was able to obtain audience share figures for Ivorian channels measured by KANTAR under the supervision of the HACA for June and July 2025 for the entire population aged 15 and over.

First observation: the share of Ivorian channels remains stable regardless of the distribution of these audiences among Ivorian channels, varying between 36% and 37% of the total for all channels.

First place was held by NCI in June and by A+ Ivoire in July. Life TV remained stable between the two periods, while the public service broadcaster (RTI), with its three channels, accounted for a total of 11% of the audience share in June and 8.7% in July.

Another way to present the results is to take the average of the two months.

Since the sample sizes are identical from one month to the next, we can calculate the arithmetic mean for the two months.

Given the natural variations in audience figures from month to month (political or sporting news, the launch of new series or new programs, etc.), we believe it is essential that the HACA itself publish the audience shares of the channels at intervals to be determined.

Channels need to communicate about their performance compared to their competitors (when it is good…) and preventing them from doing so is unrealistic.
