TV5MONDE will broadcast the series C'est arrivé près d'ici (It Happened Near Here), also known as CAPI, exclusively worldwide starting October 8. This 30-episode drama series immerses us in the heart of Ivorian society through intimate and poignant stories, all inspired by real events.
Buried secrets, broken families, jealousy, fraud, or cold revenge: It Happened Near Here explores the silent fractures of society through real-life stories that could happen to anyone, anywhere. Filmed in Abidjan, Assinie, Grand-Bassam, and Yamoussoukro, it also reflects a dynamic, innovative, and rapidly changing Ivory Coast.
"It all started with a simple desire: to give voice to the stories that shake up our daily lives, but that we often keep to ourselves. Stories that are sometimes harsh, but always human."
— Anselm Nfa
Produced by Icône Média, in co-production with TV5MONDE, created and directed by Anselm Nfa, originally from Gabon, this series brought together more than 350 actors from across West Africa and a technical team of around 30 people.
