The 7th edition of L’Afrique fait son cinéma (Africa Makes Movies) will take place from December 10 to 20 in Paris.

The 7th edition of the "L'Afrique Fait Son Cinéma" (AFSC) International Festival will be held from December 10 to 20 in Paris.

For its organizers, this 7th edition marks a strategic turning point.

Thanks to an exclusive partnership with the prestigious international film school EICAR—whose 6,500 m² campus will serve as the central platform for the event—AFSC 2025 places youth, innovation, and B2B commerce at the very heart of its mission.

AFSC aims to become the nerve center for influence and deal-making, connecting the creative industries of Africa, the Caribbean, and Europe.

That is why this edition is structured around three fundamental pillars:

1. The B2B Trade Hub: A redesigned AFSC marketplace dedicated to high-level networking between designers, buyers, distributors, and financiers (representing 45 countries and 9,500 expected professionals).

2. The Innovation Lab: A space focused on new narratives and technologies, featuring a Kino-AI Challenge and high-level roundtables on new business models (streaming, financing) and the impact of AI on creation.

3. The New Generation Bridge: Direct immersion with 2,000 EICAR students—the future professionals of the sector—thanks to our presence on their campus.

Highlights of the 2025 edition:

• Opening and closing ceremonies: Prestigious evening events on the rooftop terrace of EICAR, attended by the jury, official talents, and industry personalities.

• High-level round tables and masterclasses: High-level discussions on financing, cultural soft power, and AI, including an exceptional masterclass on "AI as a creative co-pilot."

• The official competition: Discover 13 feature films, 25 documentaries, and 25 short films competing for the prestigious Ubuntu d'Or award.

• The Pan-African Excellence Gala: An exclusive evening (December 18) on the prestigious rooftop terrace of La Samaritaine, dedicated to elite gatherings, haute cuisine, fashion, and art.
