As we wrap up the year with this final newsletter of 2025, the attention of an entire continent is focused on Africa's premier sporting event: the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations kicks off in Morocco and is set to spark enthusiasm and fervor among the entire population.
2026 will also be the year of the World Cup, with nine African countries qualifying for the competition for the first time, including Ivory Coast and Senegal.
2026 is definitely shaping up to be a year of unifying events, because in addition to sporting events, there will be a series of meetings, forums, trade shows, and award ceremonies.
After a long lull due to the COVID crisis, events have made a strong comeback and play a key role in exchanges, networking, creating new opportunities, and promoting countries: SENEGAL, IVORY COAST, BENIN, BURKINA FASO, DRC, and CAMEROON will organize one or more pan-African events in 2026, most of which will be supported by the states themselves.
In line with this renewed dynamism, ADWEKNOW will continue in 2026 to report on the latest news in media, digital technology, and communications, to give a voice to those who shape the market, to report on innovative initiatives, to publish exclusive information, and to participate in the development and promotion of the entire sector.
2026 will also be an opportunity for us to consolidate our program on media and communication: Médiastories, which we co-produce with Global Africa Télésud.
This program aims to report on current events and the vitality of the communications and media sectors to the widest possible audience.
We hope that more and more of you will continue to support and follow us.
Happy holidays to all, and see you in early January for our back-to-school newsletter and the release of the third issue of Médiastories.
