Top YouTube channel in Senegal: Marodi TV breaks records

With 8.46 million subscribers, MARODI crushes the competition, but it is its growth over the past year that is particularly impressive: in one year, MARODI TV has gained more than 1,380,000 subscribers on YouTube.

The YouTube channel has accumulated over 4.4 billion views, with more than 5,700 videos uploaded.

Some episodes of recently aired series such as DOOMU BAAY have garnered over 2.2 million views in less than 10 days, while episodes of series less than a year old, such as Lady DIAMA, have exceeded 4.4 million views.

MARODI TV has established itself as one of the most powerful players in French-speaking Africa in the field of fiction thanks to a highly structured YouTube strategy based on volume, regular publication, and the ability to build a massive community.

The channel clearly states its promise: "to create powerful, high-quality emotions and make them accessible to all consumers in Senegal and Africa."

This positioning is reflected in a catalog of serialized series designed to generate attachment to characters, social discussions, and loyalty episode after episode. Episodes last between 45 and 55 minutes, with a steady release schedule that transforms YouTube into a free "TV channel" accessible on mobile devices.

Each new series is launched with a dedicated trailer that is also broadcast on social media, followed by clear playlists, making it easy for newcomers to binge-watch and catch up on previous seasons.

Beyond YouTube, Marodi TV is preparing to launch a dynamic, visual, and interactive platform that will allow fans in Senegal and around the world to immerse themselves in the world of Marodi series.

It should be noted that CANAL+ acquired a stake in MARODI TV in March 2024.

By comparison, other Senegalese channels pale in comparison, even though two channels, TFM and 2STV, achieve more than respectable ratings in French-speaking Africa, with more than 2.5 million subscribers each.

TFM even exceeds 3 million subscribers thanks to a gain of 230,000 new subscribers compared to 2024.
